Christmas Joys

This Christmas Clint and Kristy and Taylynn came up to be with us. Taylynn is really starting to show her personality, and is such a fun little one to have around. We ended up going to my Grandpa Moore's for Christmas Even with family members. My Aunt Emma is wonderful and came up with some games for us to play. The first was a minute to win it kind of game. You had to stack six cups as high as possible, and put four little ornaments in each cup. People got pretty creative which made it that much more entertaining. Kristy very intent on her project. However, Tay wanted to be with her Mom so the tower fell.Casey even joined in on the fun!My cousin Marcus did it my favorite way.
Then, we moved on to the flour game. I guess my Dad and his siblings played this on Christmas Eve when they were younger, but it was a new game to us. You just pack flour into a plastic cup and put it on a baking pan. Lift off the plastic cup and lay a penny on the top. Each person takes a knife and slowly slims it down. The person and slims it when the tower of flour falls has to find the penny in the mound of flour with their mouth. Kristy and Marcus ended up being the ones to do that! :)Kristy slimming down the sides.
And it's my turn!
After coughing up flour and a few root beers later he was fine! :)
Christmas morning was so much fun! Tay wasn't quite sure what to do at first, but once she got the hang of it she didn't want to stop! She helped everyone open their presents. Her big present was a battery operated four wheeler. She loved it!

She wanted to take her new baby dolls and books on rides.

Aunt Crystal bought her a set of all the princess dolls. Thanks Kristy for letting her take them out of the box.:) My Mom bought her lots of fun new books!

Casey got a new stereo and nice new tools for his shop.

Kaylee got an awesome purse that Kristy made her and Kristy got a cricket that hooks to the computer to do more stuff than just a regular cricket.

Ever since my surgery I have been obsessed with Subway because I can actually eat it without getting sick, so I was super excited to see a friend had gotten me a gift card. Clint had my name this year and I have been known to have too much jewelry for my own good so to see such a big jewelry box I was ecstatic! My Mom and Dad are awesome and also got me a new mp3 player since mine was stolen on my senior trip to San Fransisco.

My Grandpa is the King of fix it. So, for Christmas the boys had Tay wheel out a mini wheel barrow with all the things he uses to fix things. Gorilla glue, duck tape, gloves; you name it!

Tay loves bubble baths! Can you tell?
We just can't help but love her! These are her new Christmas pajamas.

The end of the holiday, but not the fun! We are so grateful for all the friends and family we were surrounded by this year, and even those we weren't able to be with. May the Christmas spirit,a nd all the joys that come with it be with us all year long!

My heart is in Texas

On December tenth I faced my fear of flying all by myself and flew to Texas to visit my boyfriend. He is so sweet and came to the airport with roses in hand.
I stayed the first night with some of our family friends. The next day they took me to the Dallas Temple. It is such a beautiful temple! But before I went with them we went to his family's ward party. They had a photographer there that took pictures of families dressed in nativity attire. Don't we make a great Mary and Joseph?

Unfortunately, on the way to pick me up at the temple my boyfriend, Daven, totaled his car. :( The steering completely locked up when he tried to exit, so he ran into a median. Luckily he is ok!

That night we went to a musical/dinner that his little brother was in. It was seriously entertaining! Then, we went to a University of Northern Texas basketball game. They really know how to play a good game! Plus, I didn't mind the extra time with Daven.

The last three nights I stayed at a ward familiy's house. They were so kind to take me in. The next day we had way too much fun! We went to cracker barrell and played the little how smart are you game, and then we headed to the historic stalkyards. It was fun to see the arenas and things they have that are so huge in Texas! We went to a candy store and played around in there for a while. My favorite part of the day was going to Cabela's. He'd never been, so it was super fun to look at the fish and other animals. It was also way fun to learn how to shoot from a little kids target practice game. He is such a good teacher! After that he took me to his high school football stadium. That place is so huge! I'm talking like two times WSU's stadium! When we got back to his house we read scriptures with his family, and watched "It's a Wonderful Life." When his siblings went to bed we played a couple games of pool. He totally cheated and put balls in the pockets for me while I wasn't watching! I had a blast! I love my boyfriend!
