So much has happened! I have had several people tell me I need to update so here it is. I'm getting married! In the beginning of March my good friend Scott decided to set me up on a date with his cousin who had just returned from his mission. I went, but mostly just to have a fun time. Well, I would love to say the rest is history like everyone else but the rest is my life for the past seven months! :) It turns out we had a lot in common so and enjoyed being with eachother so we started dating more, and before you knew it I was with him every day for the rest of the month of April. He was there for my grandpa's viewing, and funeral. He is my everything and I am so excited to spend the rest of now and eternity with him! He proposed on September 23rd. This being almost a week after my birthday I was certain he had put off the proposal another week. He graduated from the Ogden-Weber ATC with his associates about three weeks ago, so he has since started working 4-10's. Thus, on Friday the 23rd he came to my house to be with me that morning.
My first class had been cancelled so we went on a walk and then he took me to school. He had a weird smirk on his face all day. I wasn't sure if he knew something I didn't or if something was wrong so I was very upset. When he picked me up from school his mom was in the car with him! We were driving home and she asked, "what are you two doing the rest of the day?" He said, " We're going to Salt Lake!" What?! was all that came out of my mouth. I was upset with him and now he chooses to take me on a nice date? So, we took the frontrunner (our tradition) down to the Gateway. He hasn't ever really been there so I had plenty of fun taking him to my favorite shops. Well, back up a bit. On the frontrunner I was mad, really mad. He was hiding something. He had brought a backpack and I couln't figure out why but he said he just had to carry around some paperwork he had received that day fromt he DMV to drive. He could tell I was upset so he asked me if I knew why we were going to Salt Lake.
I told him that his mom had given him crap about not taking me out so he picked today to take me to Salt Lake where I had been wanting to go for a while. He laughed and told me that was part of it but I had until we got to SLC to guess the rest of it. He gave me hints like why was my mom in the car? I found a brand with your name in russian. why do I really have a backpack? I had no clue so we got to SLC and he told me I had to wait.
After a while at the Gateway we were hungry so we went to Temple Square and had a yummy dinner in the Nauvoo Cafe in the Joseph Smith Building. After dinner I realized I had taken in way too much water, so we went on the search for a bathroom. I told him we should just ask a volunteer where one was but he, like a guy, said let's just look around. So, we ended up finding one on the second floor. When I came out I couldn't find him! I took a seat on a nice little bench and waited for him. Then, he came around the corner opposite of where the bathrooms were. I said "Where did you go?" and he just replied that I had to come see this awesome view he had found.
He took me into this gorgeous ballroom with amazing chandeliers and we looked out the window. There was the perfect view of the Salt Lake Temple! We stood there and just admired it and then Justin said " I have something for you" I was thinking he couldn't have snuck away while we were at the Gateway I was there the whole time. He looked through his backpack and pulled out a big blue box. I had no clue what that was. He opened it and there was an egg on these vitorian style legs with diamonds all around. When he opened that he got on one knee and said "Will you marry me?" I was so shocked! I couldn't even say anything. I just put my head in my hands and tried to breathe. I gave him and kiss and a hug and he said, "A yes would be nice?" I had forgotten to answer him! I hurried and said, "sorry, yes!" Ahhhh the rest of the day is history. :)

Here is our view of the temple.

Us after I said yes:)
