Senior Prom

I enjoyed going to my senior Prom "You and Me" with a friend, Alex. It was a crazy, but fun day. I still have not received the actual dance pictures, but these are the ones that my Dad took when Alex came to pick me up. I'll try and post the other pictures when I get them.

Warmer on the other side of the Mountain

I had a Skills USA state officer meeting down in St. George a few weeks ago. It was a ton of fun! Hannah and I rode together to Bob's house, and then we drove with him and Mrs. Bob to Snow College to pick up Melissa. Then, we started on the long drive to St. George. We hit a really bad storm on the way there, but lucky us we slept through most of it until we got to a much greener and warmer area. We worked on putting things together for the state championships, and then had some fun. We went on a small hike in Snow Canyon. Some officers found a cave, and felt that it would be a great idea to become underground humans! After the hike we went to Fiesta Fun and went go-kart racing! That was awesome! We each got to go twice. The boys were pretty rough, but it was still fun.
What they don't know if that when they went back to the hotel Bob bought us one round of tickets and Me, Bob, Adam, Hannah, and Melissa raced again. I won that time and it was awesome! The next day was time to leave. We hadn't gotten to bed until one or one-thirty, and Hannah had to wake up at 5:30 to go with the other van to make it home earlier. Then, she decided that wouldn't work, so she went with Me, Bob, and Mrs. Bob. We left at 8:00, and got a tour from Mrs. Bob in the car around the Temple, and to Brigham Young's house, and around the tabernacle. That was fun!
After that we went on a little shopping trip to the outlets. Hannah and I spent our time and money in Del Sol. Then, we decided to drive through Zion's since I'd never been there, and Hannah had only stopped there for a little bit once. We went on the little hike up to Weeping Rock. It was gorgeous! All the rock there is just immaculate, and definately carved by the hands of God. We got home around 8:00, and even though I'd slept most of the way; I was exhausted! Here are the pictures, oh and the pictures at the top of my blog are my graduation pictures. I got them taken at Hazen Studios in Kaysville, and then Kaylee put together the collage for my invitation! Only 3 more months till graduation! :)I don't know why, but my computer won't let me post the pictures, but I will try again soon!

Fender Bender/Message Sender

I went up to Bear Lake this last weekend for my friend's birthday. We went to her cabin with a bunch of friends and her family. The car with all of us friends went up later because I had a preview of my senior pictures to go to. We were about five minutes away from her cabin when we went to take a turn on a bridge and hit ice. The second we hit the ice we started swirving and that turned into spinning. We spun for what seemed like forever. I remember thinking "when is it going to hit already?!" Then we hit. When we hit the back end of the car seemed to bounce up. I was in the back middle. After we hit we spun about three more times and then the car came to a stop. We were in the middle of the road. The first thing I thought was Ow, my neck hurts, and then how are we alive right now? We all came out of the trance we were in and got out to check out the car. The two infront were out first, and I asked if the car was o.k. One of them came to the window with the bumper/fender and said " no." We all got out and after looking at the front of the car and crying we said a prayer right there in the middle of the road for having our lives saved. My friend that was driving said the first thing she saw flash through her mind was us falling into the river, and I have to say I was picuring us falling over as well, but I didn't know it was a river that was there!

As you can see from the pictures we were very protected. When we got out of the car we were amazed that the car was in such good condition. We knew that we hit hard, and twice, we think. After all the spinning and all we were amazed that nothing was wrong with the tires. My friend and I brought the bumper back to the cabin holding it out the passenger side window. On the way home we had problems with things dragging really bad on the bottom, but we made it. What I didn't say yet is the amazing part. My friend that was driving never over corrected or anything while we were spinning and everything. After we all got out she told us that she didn't even have the wheel; that someone else had it. We all knew who this was, and that's why we thanked him right away. We were telling eachother all night: "Obviously we're living right and are here for a reason." After this and the rafting incident I have been reminded of my Heavenly Father's love for me, and the fact that even though I might not know what it is, he has a great plan for me as well. We all walked away with just some bruising. My friend that was driving hit her head on the steering wheel, and was burned pretty badly from the seatbelt. My friend that was sitting next to me was burned by her seatbelt and hit her head on the window. I walked away with just a small burn from the seatbelt that is now gone, and the other two were just really shaken up. It's been interesting to try and drive in the snow again for work, but I know that the Lord loves and knows me. I'm greatful for this experience, and all that it has taught me.

The lake was iced over a little, but gorgeous!

Life's new adventures

Well, i guess I am coming of age. I got a call to see the bishopric Sunday morning. I know the Lord knows what is best, but I certainly didn't see a calling in the near future! Well, nursery here I come! I'm very excited. I think it might be my calling in life to play dolls and legos with little kids. I think the music and the sweet lessons of Jesus will be very fun too! I know it sounds funny because the kids are about 4 years old, if that, but I am so intimidated! I sure hope I can do this! Happy New Year's to everyone!!!

Go BYU! Go Blue!

My friend Tiana is going to BYU, so my other friend Jessica and I spent a day with her down there. It was so much fun! She showed us around campus, and we even met up with some of her friends from High school that I knew. What a fun time!

This is Me and Tiana starting our journey from the gas station in Provo!

We got caught in a crazy rain storm after we came out of the campus store. We were trying to take pictures of ourselves, and this really cute guy felt sorry for us. He was all dressed up and dry, and then decided to take pitty on us and take the picture for us! :)

This is Jessica and Tiana in the rain making fun leaf hats!

This is me with my leaf!! :)

I just took this random picture to show how gorgeous campus is! I love it!!!

This is: (from left to right) Quintin, Tiana, Bradley, Jessica, and Me.
These are her two friends that we met up with. They helped us find this cool museum that just opened. Since it was the day of the homecoming football game they let us park at their apartment, because it was so crowded!

The stadium that was totally packed all day long! It was truely as sea of blue!

This is us at Quintin and Bradley's apartment. Jessica and I felt left out of the sea of blue, so we seriously pulled up to a sidewalk booth for liek 30 seconds and bought some shirts. Jess got a cute "Y" pink hat too.

You can see why I couldn't resist this one. These pictures are us putting my camera on top of my car, and trying out my timer!

Tiana told us that we treated her like a queen that day, so we had her wear one of my princess crowns from the back of my car. We got some fun looks!

Me while driving! Jess wanted to document the event, and we were stuck in traffic while people were going into the stadium.

Princess Tiana in her apartment. She decided to cook us dinner before we went for ice cream. It was yummy teriaki chicken and brocoli.

All of us messing around in her apartment after our yummy dinner!

This is us in my car on our way home. We took her home, so she could go to a farewell the next day.

This has been a long post, but it has to be to say how much fun we had! We got there, and took a cool tour of campus, we went to the dinosaur museum, we took her to olive garden for lunch, she fed us dinner, and we did dishes, and then we took her to cold stone creamery for dessert! Thanks for such an awesome time Tiana!!!!

"Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. you wonder what's to come." *The Wonder Years

My fantastic friend, neighbor, and truely a sister, Megan Hooten was married Oct. 14, 2009. She married Jase Bingham in the Bountiful LDS Temple, and I was fortunate enough to be able to be a part of their day! I spent the whole day just watching the two love birds interact together, and recalling all the memories past I had with Megan. From the day I asked her to play in my sand box with me to the day I knew she was in love with Jase...I'll always love her like a sister. As we grow older our memories only grow fonder. Congrats Megan and Jase Bingham! :)

The lovely brides maids & flower girls!

Eternity Starts Today!

Kaylee was hired by a family in our ward to be their daughter's wedding photographer. The wedding was in Manti, so Kaylee, Mom, and I drove down Friday after school. The wedding was Saturday morning, and it was a gorgeous day! None of us had ever been to that temple, and it was just beautiful! The couple was just so happy, and that made them really fun to shoot. Enjoy!

The Manti Temple-Isn't it gorgeous?

Their first kiss out of the temple!

The walk to an eternity together begins now...
