Cowgirl up in Colorado

On the 13th me, Mom, Dad, and Kaylee headed up to Denver to see some family friends. We drove the 9 hours to Denver and met my Uncle Paul for some dinner. We went to a mexican restaraunt, and then drove the 2 hours to our family friends The Schmidt's house. We stayed with them until Sunday afternoon, and then headed home. They sure showed us a good time while we were there!

Me and Kaylee on our way up!

While with our Uncle Paul we walked to the Colorado state capitol, and Kaylee got some great shots.

Me being weird at the one mile above sea level step at the capitol. That's why it's called the Mile High City!

I love the background of this picture. This is on the Schmidt's deck.

Not Rapunzel's Ropes Course!

This weekend Hannah Holtry and I took the frontrunner down to Woods Cross. Our State office advisor Bob Bodily (Bobilini) picked us up there and drove us to Bountiful where we were to have our meetings for the next three days at the Country Inn and Suites there. The second day is when we went to the University of Utah Ropes Course. We spent the day there learning team building and working skills, and managed to scare me just as bad if not worse than they did last year. It was a fun experience, but unlike our lovely princess Rapunzel; I am definately not one for heights. I did however, enjoy myself and was able to conquer the fear for a few hours and "climb on!"

Lauren, Melissa, and Hannah at Texas Roadhouse where we all eat way too much food!

Hannah and Melissa showing how cold it was by the end of the Ropes Course.

Me; 30 feet in the air, and wondering how in the world I'm going to get down!

Me and Hannah enjoying the short downtime we had during one of our meeetings.

New life & Old life

Little Taylynn Kay Moore is now 8 pounds! Kristy had these cute pictures taken when she was 3 weeks. She is definately our little angel! :) Old life...well, that would be Kaylee! Just kidding, she's not old; I just needed a title, and she wanted me to put something on here about her. She rightly deserves it though, because she is a fantastic sister and best friend. Love ya Sis.!

This is my cute little sister that is growing up way too fast! She'll be 16 in December!

Cute baby Taylynn!

Our little angel!

In 2007 Kaylee and I went to Smiles to get our pictures taken and I think they turned out super cute!

Girl's Camp...or Survivor Camp?

This is my face on the Big Kahuna!

Ride those Rapids!

Believe it or not... we made it on this one! :)

Me expressing the pain of not being able to breathe with the life jacket on. Little did I know how much that would help later ! :) Yes, if you're wondering, I cut my hair. It was on a whim, and I still don't know if I like it!

This last week Mom, Kaylee, and I went to Girl's Camp. We decided we all needed to be like the boy's and go white water rafting down the snake river! It was a blast! We all had so much fun, and ended up learning a lot. The last run of the trip I decided to go on the smaller 5 man raft, and get more of the rapids. It was getting later in the day, and colder, and the wind had picked up, so the rapids were a lot bigger than the run before. We hit a big one called the Big Kahuna. We were good the first rapid, but the second one through four of us off, including our guide which was the young women president's husband. My friend Tiana was the only one to stay on, and she had to help us all up. Once we all got back in we set off to conquer the California Ropes. They're called that because it's just a bunch a continuous HUGE rapids one right after the other. We hit them pretty well, until a huge one came up and took us straight up and down! The raft flipped on us, and the four girls: Me, Tiana, Jessica, and our young women president Tracy were trapped under the raft. Our guide Mike was thrown and caught in the rapids goind down current. Tracy and I got out from under the raft first. I took in way too much water, and kept getting sucked under. I couldn't see Tiana, she was on the other side of the raft, but I could see Jessica's legs, so I pushed up on the raft as much as I could for a girl being pulled under rapids every few seconds. I yelled for her to get out and luckily she was able to. Right after she got out I thought to myself; I should keep my feet up from the rocks, and right then my foot hit a rock, and hit it hard! I knew there were rapids coming up just around the bend, so we all swam as much as we could to shore. Mike was there, and Tracy grabbed him, and he pulled us in. The other rafts caught up to us, and I was bauling and couldn't walk, so they took me and Jessica on what we called the red cross raft after that. Tracy went on the other raft, and Mike and Tiana were troopers and got on the five man again. I was praying the whole way down, and I know if it wasn't for my Heavenly Father giving us all the strength to get to shore I would have given up, and wouldn't be here today! I believe that 2nd Nephi 4:20 applies quite well! :)

Story Time!

I was scrapbooking and found some fun pictures from past activities! :)

In April I went to Disneyland for the first time with the choir. I wanted to get an "ears" hat just to say I had one, but my friends mom, sweet as she is made me put it on for a picture or two!

This beautiful looking couple is me and Daven Ritchie with one of his faces that I have yet to master! :) I sure miss him now that he's in Texas!

I'm in an organization called Skills USA. Infact, I am a state officer again this year! This is me with my OCC team after our first competition at Nationals this year in Kansas City. Don't we look good in red?

More random pictures to come, but for now just soak in these ones!

Life as I know it

Life is crazy right now! My neice Taylynn is growing each day, I'm enrolled in four different schools, Kaylee is driving, and my head is spinning! Each day something new comes along whether it is a friend moving, a ton of homework, a Skills USA meeting, or ridding our house of the stench of skunk! (More of that story later :)) The story of life is beautiful, and through this blog it is my goal to write my own story and share it with close friends and family! Enjoy!
